Pest Control in Scarborough, Malton and Pickering, North Yorkshire

On friday 5th July 2013 the Wine Bar in Pickering, North Yorkshire, saw the the first installation by P.A. Pest Control of BIRD FREE, a patented peparation containing food-grade natural oils that keeps all birds off all structures without harming them. Bird Free does not kill or trap birds, but immediately changes their behaviour so that they fly away. Birds will completely desert a habitat that they have been using for years once Bird Free is applied.

This new form of pest control was developed by scientists in Korea. Bird Free® is formulated so that birds won't go near it: birds can see ultraviolet light (which is invisible to humans) so Bird Free appears to them as fire. Visual deterrence is further reinforced by the selected natural oils contained in the Bird Free® preparation, which are abhorrent to a birds' senses of smell and taste.

Bird Free's deterrent effect on birds is long lasting. Left undisturbed, Bird Free will remain completely effective for at least two years after proper installation, even in the most exposed environment.

Bird Free is oil-based, so is not affected by extremes of temperature, nor by wind, rain or snow and will not evaporate.

Wine Bar general manager Mel Fisk said of the installation of pest control in Scarborough and Pickering, North Yorkshire:
"I have been General Manager of the Wine Bar in Pickering, North Yorkshire, for the past 18 months. During that time we have had constant problems with pigeons: their cooing in the early morning and in the evening was annoying; if we left the first-floor windows open at night we'd come in in the morning to find pigeons had got inside and made a mess in the office; and we had to frequently clean their droppings from the windows and the pavement outside.

On 5 July, dishes of Bird Free were applied to all the areas where the pigeons used to roost. Since then we have not seen any pigeons on the building at all. Not having to constantly clean up their mess saves us a lot of time, and it's a relief to be able to leave the widows open in the hot weather."
